Danielle's journey into the world of fashion is deeply rooted in a family tradition that spans generations. Her grandparents launched Wilsons, a renowned name in haute-couture bridal gowns and unique fabrics.
Danielle's mother, appointed as the creative director the year Danielle was born, continued this tradition of excellence. With over two decades of experience working alongside masters of texture, color, and design, Danielle has honed her craft and vision in the fashion industry.
Before stepping into the world of retail, Danielle dedicated two decades to legal practice and collaborated closely with startup businesses. This unique blend of experience equipped her with the necessary skills and resilience to open Green Duck Society during a challenging economic climate.
At Green Duck Society, we specialize in hats and occasion headwear, each piece selected with a keen eye for artistry and elegance. Our boutique also features a mindfully curated collection of art, jewelry, and other treasures that embody creativity and craftsmanship
The inspiration behind our name, "Green Duck Society," comes from Edward De Bono’s renowned Six Thinking Hats method, which promotes problem-solving from multiple perspectives. Each hat represents a different type of thinking, and in our studio, Danielle utilizes these hats to transition between creative states—harnessing the power of green for creativity.
Known affectionately as "Duck" since childhood, Danielle has embraced this moniker to forge a community of creatives and customers at Green Duck Society. Her travels across Australia to discover extraordinarily talented makers and artisans have culminated in a collection that perfectly suits the Perth market.
